Greg Ramsden SWAc, painter and printmaker, trained at Sheffield University under George Shaw, one of the 2011 Turner Prize nominees. Greg is deeply interested in light, space and the natural environment. In his paintings, intricate surface texture and subtle layering reveal direct experience of natural land-based environments.

His subjects are fields, dilapidated farms, areas of outstanding natural beauty, protected marine environments, and wild moorlands. Ramsden's intense observations and fertile memories combine to capture the atmosphere and sensations of his locality, in untraditional and experimental painting techniques.
