I trained in Bristol and Brighton and hold a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, a PGCE
and a Postgraduate Diploma in Printmaking. I exhibit locally and nationally
with work in private collections at home and abroad and I have been running
printmaking courses from my private workshop, near Tavistock in Devon,
for eighteen years.
My pictures are representations of states of mind as well as
interpretations of the ephemeral moods of the landscape and the sea.
I use a limited colour range to achieve timeless spaces in which to convey
aspects of human solitude. Most of the places I choose are ones that I know
very well and are imbued with a sense of memory, and where I have a vague
knowledge of the history. I am always aware of layers of time - geological
events, the effects of the weather, human migration. I find the starting
points for most of my work on Dartmoor and on the coast.

my etchings and paintings. You will also find details of my printmaking courses there.
