Working mainly in watercolour and acrylic she developed a painstaking
layered technique, more usually associated with traditional painting
using oils or tempera. She also completed a number of lithographic
prints of her original work that have proved commercially successful.
Largely that work consisted of different series of architectural and
landscape paintings, based on the different locations of her various
homes at any one time, and her extensive travel in Europe and the USA.
Her work has been exhibited widely and she has been able to successfully
continue her professional status as an artist from her earliest
employment to the present day. In 2007 she was accepted into the
South West Academy and now paints from her studio in Chagford in
the Dartmoor National Park.
Her current projects include a return to
her early painting in oils and a renewed interest in line drawing.
While subject matter abounds around her home she loves to work abroad
and her latest works reflect a growing desire to showcase her drawing
and painting in smaller studies of natural and man made features
in the landscape.
